Elbrus Research Commentary
China’s population is growing and migrating online.
Its educated middle class is emerging rapidly and is demanding better care for themselves and their families. The economy continues to grow in the current crisis and the government is making efforts to boost domestic consumption and the banking sector.

China Life Insurance Company Ltd. (LFC) is experiencing continued growth on the back of growing demand by the population for insurance protection. There is virtually no Social Security net in China and the population has to save to fund its own retirement. This demand has just started to be addressed, and as of spring 2009 only 3% of the population was covered with life insurance.

As of December 31, 2007, the Company already had over 93 million insurance policies in force.

Our report, last updated in April 2009, evaluates the attractiveness of LFC's stock, its price, and opportunity for growth.
